Project Details
The extradosed bridge carries part of the Third Ring Road in Mecca. It consists of two bridges, each for one traffic direction. The main span is 145 m, crossing the pedestrian route to the Jamarat area. The 2 m deep deck has two edge girders connected by transverse girders spaced about 6 m. It is rigidly connected to the pylon and supported on sliding bearings at the piers and abutments. The bridge is skewed 34° and cast in place
